ANDY TAYLOR
Andy Taylorʼs first career was as a professional singer. Having met and sung for three presidents of the United States, she has been broadcast live around the world and featured on stages nationally from the Kennedy Center and the White House to Bob Hope Cultural Center in CA. For 25 years, the Disney Company also extensively employed her talents in live shows and spectaculars, TV specials, and sound tracks. On- and off-stage, she is known for her complete professionalism and her positive impact on every situation.
Andy broadened her skill set as she became involved in youth markets. For 10 years, she was a clinician, adjudicator and guest artist for music education events nationwide, including as judge of Miss America in Atlantic City. At the same time, she was serving her own central Florida community, providing process and organization in communications, logistics, event planning, and travel for a variety of entities and activities in public and private schools.
In higher education, Andy combined her Disney event experience, travel background and love for kids at the University of Oklahoma, in Recruitment & Admissions, as the head of Visitor Services & Visitor Center. She crafted and operated the visitor experience from the first website click through the on-campus visit and was in charge of the OU Visitor Center. Her responsibilities included the Visit.OU website, campus map, the award-winning OU/Norman Visitor Guide, and site coordination of educational events such as Speech & Debate (Oklahoma's largest academic competition), the National Geographic Bee, and Oklahoma Spelling Bee. Andy also created hands-on, horizon-expanding “Why College?” tours for K-8 groups by partnering with academic departments and OU's museums of art and natural history. With existing resources, she developed the OU Virtual Field Trip to engage schools with budget and transportation challenges. Andy’s fresh eyes landed her on policy-level committees for Admissions and Enrollment & Student Financial Services. At the University of Central Florida, Andy served on the College of Education Community Engagement Council.
She is currently managing partner and consultant with Rich Imagination, providing her approachable expertise to a variety of entities.
